![]() Something I was wondering and wanted to see if anyone felt the same was this. Would have liked to see a page or two from Selena's perspective but since the narrator is really just Bark relaying his brother/best friend's death I get why. While we do get some revelations of who Selena could be, it was mostly treated as speculation that wasn't confirmed or denied until the very end. The story did feel like it stalled in the middle. You can find it and Wiliam Sloane's other novel in the collection "The Rim of Morning" by NYRB publishing. Other than a couple of references to outdated furniture or something I followed along quite well. His writing style is wonderfully refreshing in comparison to Lovecraft. Just read William Sloane's "To Walk the Night" and thought it was just ok. ![]()
