Being a celebrity doesn’t mean that one has to be politically correct and uptight. We live in a democratic society which gives us the right to freely express our opinion. I have absolutely no issues with the first two. Talking about Bhagat, he has the knack of getting embroiled in controversies – be his cheeky tweets or his comments against Narayan Murthy or his fight against the makers of 3 Idiots for credit as the writer of the movie. His latest novel ‘Revolution 2020’ is an excellent book and in my opinion, his best work till date. I thoroughly enjoyed ‘Five Point Someone’ and ‘2 States’, found ‘One Night Call Center’ average and got bored to death with ‘The 3 Mistakes of my Life’. The reason for this ‘disclosure’ shall become clear shortly.Īt the same time, I have also read all the five novels written by Chetan Bhagat. Naipaul, Jhumpa Lahiri, Salman Rushdie, Taslima Nasreen and a few others while growing up. I think it would only be appropriate if at the beginning of this post I state that I have read authors like Roald Dahl, Ruskin Bond, Alfred Hitchcock, Michael Crichton, Jeffrey Archer, John Grisham, V.S.
